And I thought that you had picked the place you did very deliberately, so I guess it all works out in the end! You're right though about it becoming very special once you pick it. I think that's part of the problem. I've been thinking of that as our wedding date for a while now, so it's already soaked up so much of that meaning, the idea of abandoning it feel like just that... abandoning our wedding date. I will definitely take your words and example under advisement as I continue planning.Ariellahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05724469702315383648noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6963681438829755648.post-54962699266090642012012-04-12T20:18:33.668-05:002012-04-12T20:18:33.668-05:00Also, i had totally forgotten about Joey's fra...Also, i had totally forgotten about Joey's france beard until I saw that picture of the to of you in Paris...ahh good times ;-)Chelsea Tnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6963681438829755648.post-34263049482456593522012-04-12T20:17:25.593-05:002012-04-12T20:17:25.593-05:00Hey Ella! I previously have been enjoying your blo...Hey Ella! I previously have been enjoying your blog from afar, but I feel like perhaps my 2 cents might be valuable to you since I can relate to this. Nick and I picked our date because it worked the BEST with my school schedule, but we knew that there was some wiggle room and we could get married a week later. As soon as we picked our date we started looking at places and I kid you not out of the 9 places that we looked at 8 of them were booked on that date, but had other openings that would work for us. I decided (and Nick wasn't as firm on this, but was totally willing to support me) that the date we chose was the one I wanted, I just couldn't imagine getting married a week later because I knew that would cause a lot of stress for me (we would be returning from our honeymoon the day before school started, or we would have to cut the honeymoon short). So we let those other ones go, and thankfully the last place was available. We love it, but it is not perfect. Ultimately I wouldn't have it any other way though, I would choose every single time to get married on our wedding date at this venue that we love than get married later at a different great venue. Ok, I just realized that this is going to be a long comment but I will go with it. Sorry! Basically my point is, you choose what is really important to you and you make other choices accordingly. And I guarantee you that you won't be thinking about any of the other venues once you choose yours, your venue will become so much more special than all the other ones to you once you choose it, because that is the place you are marrying Joey! And I think that is probably the biggest positive of any venue once you pick it. You will start to be able to visualize where you say your vows, where you walk down the aisle, where you have your first dance and all those other wonderful moments and that space will become so magical and perfect. Again, sorry I am rambling a bit, but I am just getting really excited about both of our weddings! I think that feeling works with the date too though, August 11 was not particularly special to us, but now that I have been thinking about it as the day that I will marry Nick it has become so special to me. Basically what I am trying to say is that whatever choice the two of you make will be the perfect and special choice for you because it will be a part of your wonderful wedding. Sorry for the novel <br />-ChelseaChelsea Tnoreply@blogger.com
